Helambu Trek

The Helambu Trek is a short and accessible trek from Kathmandu, renowned for its stunning views of the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges, lush rhododendron forests, and serene monasteries. Day 1: Drive to Sundarijal and Trek to Chisapani (2,165m)
– Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1 hour).
– Begin the trek through Shivapuri National Park, ascending through forests and small villages.
– Overnight at a lodge in Chisapani.
– Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 2: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m)
– Descend to Pati Bhanjyang and ascend through villages and forests.
– Enjoy stunning views of the Langtang Himal range.
– Overnight at a lodge in Kutumsang.
– Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Day 3: Trek to Thadepati (3,650m)
– Continue trekking through rhododendron forests and open ridges.
– Reach Thadepati, the highest point of the trek, with panoramic mountain views.
– Overnight at a lodge in Thadepati.
– Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2,590m)
– Descend through dense forests and cross rivers before ascending to Tarkeghyang, a Sherpa village.
– Visit ancient monasteries and experience local culture.
– Overnight at a lodge in Tarkeghyang.
– Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 5: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m)
– Trek through easy trails passing small villages and fields.
– Enjoy beautiful views of the Jugal Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges.
– Overnight at a lodge in Sermathang.
– Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 6: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar (870m)
– Descend gradually through forests and traditional villages.
– Reach Melamchi Bazaar, the end of the trek.
– Overnight at a lodge in Melamchi Bazaar.
– Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 7: Drive to Kathmandu
– Drive back to Kathmandu (3-4 hours) via scenic roads.
– End of the trek.
