Bardiya Wildlife Safari

Bardiya National Park is the largest and most untouched wildlife reserve in Nepal’s Terai, covering 968 sq. km of dense Sal forests, golden grasslands, and river landscapes. It is famous as the “Land of the Tiger,” offering one of the best chances in Nepal to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat. Unlike crowded parks, Bardiya feels peaceful and wild, often compared to how Chitwan was decades ago. The park is also home to massive Asian elephants, including the legendary Raja Gaj. Visitors can encounter rare species such as gharial crocodiles and the endangered Gangetic river dolphin in the Karnali River. One of Bardiya’s biggest attractions is its guided walking safari, allowing guests to explore the jungle on foot with expert trackers. The indigenous Tharu community adds cultural richness through their harmonious lifestyle with nature. Recognized globally, Bardiya received the WWF TX2 Award for doubling its tiger population. With its raw wilderness, rich wildlife, and thrilling safari experiences, Bardiya offers an unforgettable adventure for nature lovers and explorers.
