Mardi Himal Trek

The Mardi Himal Trek is a captivating trek located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It offers trekkers a chance to experience a less crowded, scenic route while providing panoramic views of the Annapurna and Machapuchare (Fishtail) mountains. The trek takes you through lush forests, traditional villages, and alpine meadows, reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp at an altitude of 4,500 meters. This trek is ideal for those seeking a short and relatively easy trek with magnificent mountain views, diverse landscapes, and a unique cultural experience.

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Kande and trek to Australian Camp
– Drive to Kande (1.5 hours), then begin your trek to Australian Camp (2,060m).
– Trekking time: 3-4 hours.
– Overnight stay at Australian Camp.
Day 2: Trek to Forest Camp (2,550m)
– Trek through dense rhododendron forests to Forest Camp.
– Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
– Overnight stay at Forest Camp.
Day 3: Trek to Low Camp (3,140m)
– Ascend to Low Camp, passing through beautiful landscapes and gaining spectacular views of Mardi Himal and Machapuchare.
– Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
– Overnight stay at Low Camp.
Day 4: Trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m)
– Continue ascending to Mardi Himal Base Camp, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare, and other surrounding peaks.
– Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
– Overnight stay at Mardi Himal Base Camp.
Day 5: Trek to Siding and drive back to Pokhara
– Descend to Siding village, then drive back to Pokhara.
– Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
– Drive: 1.5-2 hours to Pokhara.

  • Accommodation in tea houses/lodges during the trek.
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during the trek.
  • Transportation: Private/shared vehicle from Pokhara to Kande and back from Siding.
